How do I use custom fields?

Follow

Custom fields can be used on the My Profile tab and Enrollment form to collect information from volunteers. You can also use custom fields in rosters or as tokens.

To add these fields to the My Profile tab online for volunteers:

  1. Go to the Web Terminal pane in MSP and click the "Web Terminal Settings..." button at the top.
  2. Click on Profile Changes heading on the left, and then the subheading that will appear for General Info.
  3. Check the last box that says, "Allow volunteers to see and request changes to these custom fields:" and click the field below to select the custom fields you want to make available on the My Profile tab online.

Note: In the same Web Terminal Settings window, you can click on Enrollments on the left, and if you use these forms click on the General Info subheading to add the custom fields to the Enrollments for new volunteers interested in serving in a ministry.

To include these fields on rosters:

In the Rosterizer, click on Included Fields and under the "Available fields" column, un-check the "Show common fields only" box, and your fields will appear in that list.

To use a custom field as a token:

From an email or on a text area of the Web Terminal, click the Token menu and you will see a section for custom fields, and can insert these tokens as needed to convey information to volunteers.
