- Sign in to your account on your church's Web Terminal
- Click on your name in the upper right corner of the Web Terminal and select "Switch to admin view".
- Click on the Announcements pane on the left
Composing your email
Click the green “+” button and select "Email" to begin an email announcement.
All emails must have 3 components:
A. Recipients
By default, the recipients will be all volunteers in your ministries (ministries where you are declared a Leader). You can remove this option by clicking the x, and then choose from a drop down of all of your ministries to send to just one ministry, or by typing the names of individuals who you want included in your email.
You can further limit recipients using the "But only send to volunteers who pass this filter" box to apply filters.
B. Subject
The subject can contain tokens, like {{FirstName}} to help fill in custom information for each volunteer and make it stand out.
C. Body
The body will contain all of the content of your email, including any tokens you wish to include. You can use the formatting bar along the top of the email body window to further stylize the text, including bold, italics, hyperlinks, and font size.
Sending your email
Once you have composed our email, click the "Preview" button to set the token options, see what the email will look like, and who it will go to. Clicking on the name of a volunteer will fill in the tokens with information for that volunteer.
Once you like the way your message looks, click "Send # emails" to send those volunteers the email shown in the preview.
Alternately, you can choose "Save as draft" to save the message until you are ready to send it.
Viewing the open report
After sending an email, it will appear in the Announcements pane.
Clicking on the title of the email will show you the contents of that email and the list of recipients.
Clicking on the green bar that shows the number of opened emails will display the open report, which will show you who has opened the email, who has not, and whether any emails bounced.
