We highly recommend against sharing your MSP database over a network. Instead, MSP has a Data Sharing features that can be used to access the program from multiple computers. There are several problems with sharing the MSP database over a network.
First, accessing the database over a network can easily lead to data loss. When multiple computers access the database over a network there is no way for MSP to prevent two people from accessing the database at any given time. In the case that two people access the database at the same time, when one person saves the database their changes will overwrite the changes made by the other user.
Second, in order to use the Web Terminal, you need to be using the built in Data Sharing feature inside MSP. However, using Data Sharing feature will lead to data loss if the database in on a network and then accessed from multiple computers at the same time.
Third, the Data Sharing feature also allows people in off-site, non-networked locations to access the shared data, while sharing the database over a network does not. Therefore we highly recommend using the built in Data Sharing feature instead of moving the database to a network server.
However, all that being said, it *is* possible to move the database to be shared on a network server. To do this, first open MSP, choose "Save database as" from the File menu at the top of the screen, and then navigate to the network drive and click the Save button. Then once you have installed and licensed MSP on the other computers, choose "Use Database" from the File menu on the computers and navigate to the database you saved on the server with the first computer.
